I'm Running Free...........yeh

So Todays-Animating Lowdown
So now with more knowledge on runs and a better plan with reference. I already felt that it was going better.

I decided too animate the movement in space rather than running on the spot. This way i can get the spacing better between the poses. Also the arm movement and rotation is alot cleaner now compared to yesterday. Though a bit more movement maybe needed on the arms.

I have spent all day animating which i do enjoy, and it has felt like i have animated a small movie only to realize it's a second of animation. Do i laugh or do i cry, i just don't know. It all equals to 5 steps. He is a speedster and it is slightly faster than the now called Tennant run./

To be safe i not doing any copying of frames. This is because normally when i do that something goes wrong and the graph editor has a fit. But also so the run feels more organic and less manufactured.

I ended the day with a rendered out test. Sometimes the playblasts can be a little bit misleading but also i wanted a second attempt of trying out some post-production effects to make it look like he is running super fast. I wanted to to do the effects in Premiere rather than setting up motion blur in maya just for the simple reason for this moment in time it's quicker and i didn't want to be fiddling around with tick boxes in maya.

The effects above is the same video repeated several time with each one then moved slightly with a gaussian blur attached to them. With the last bottom layer having motion blur on. The video is rendered out as a PNG format with just the character on so the effects could be achieved. The background was added at the final stage.

Just in case you were thinking that i didn't pose him in all the positions and just moved him across the screen really fast. I have slowed it down as well just show that i did.
