Lip-Sync-The learning

Fresh of the press as they say. Today we learnt how to leap sync with the help from the stock characterHogan. I have to admit i found the task a lot more simpler and enjoyable than i first thought
After getting some audio from the www.11secondclub.com i wrote out the transcript and started to work out what phonemes i needed to use. It was then a matter of loading up Hogan maya file. Which the teacher had already added lighting and props. and then simply dragging the audio to the time line. Which then had a wave clearly showing where words start and end. From then on it was just a matter of key framing the character set.

Everything was done eye. The rigging for Hogan technically only had limited phoneme of O,U,F,MPB and E. But it didn't matter to much as there was open jar controls and numours others to squash and stretch parts of the mouth. That you could practically make any others you may need.

The final product still need a little bit more work. In that more expression is needed in the body language. But as for the actual lip sync i'm pretty chuffed with it.
