From the middle, now relax while i shall catch you up to date. No don't worry if your searching this blog for part 1. I like so many people will start my trilogy present day and looking back to the past.
Way way back we got given a group superhero project working in teams of 4 with the outcome to produce a 60 second short animation with each member animating around 15 seconds each.
Everybody in the class then took part in a kind of lottery to find out what type of hero they would get to design from a selection of words the teacher thought off and placed in the hat that was actually a cardboard box, but you know hey ho...
The first round of word pulling was to decide the main theme your character was about. These including words like thunder, tramp, chess, DJ, Reactor real trivia kind of stuff.
The second round was choosing alignment good, evil, super evil etc.
Then followed by the third round of gender which there was more than just two options lets say...
To then conclude with the final forth round of body type, ectomorph, endormorph and mesomorphic.
What i ended up with was - Carbon - Good - Male - Mesomorphic which i was happy about.
So that was my individual guy to design. But wait this isn't just about me, oh no this is a group project so my character would need to link in with the other members of the group which was named....George as the group name. And together with all heroes will be the most awesome team ever created to make a superhero project.
Any way after that to speed things along they were lots & lots & lots & lots of team meetings, and discussions on how getting a good solid foundation for how all our characters link together in what i like to call "The Universe in which they live in" and making sure continuity is better that NBC tv show Heroes. (Which if you are wondering our continuity is 100% better).
So the first part which lead up to ye olde Christmas of 2010 was all about design and back stories which ended in two pitches. A tester and then the final pitch.
Right about now if your like me you will be wondering so what did the other guys get and how to they all link? Well patients there all will be revelled. in the next chapter. Where i shall also talk to you about the development of my own character.
